How the calculator works
The calculator finds Venus's apparent geocentric ecliptic longitude for your birth moment, using the same astronomy library and method as Clarionium's full birth chart. It then maps that longitude onto the twelve tropical zodiac signs of 30 degrees each. Venus moves about one degree a day and spends roughly three to five weeks in each sign, so for most dates the birth date alone is enough. Near a sign change, though, Venus can change sign within the same day. If that happened on your birthday, the tool tells you and asks for your birth time to settle it.

Born during Venus retrograde
Roughly every 18 months Venus appears to move backwards for about six weeks. About seven percent of people are born with Venus retrograde.
